Vision Zero is a global movement that began in Sweden in 1997 that aims to reduce traffic related deaths and serious injuries to zero. This movement has been gaining increasing traction in North America in recent year with many cities adopting Vision Zero plans, including our very own New York City. In this session we will speak with two leaders of the Vision Zero movement in the Northeastern U.S and learn what it is that makes Vision Zero effective, why it is important for the bike movement, and how to adopt Vision Zero policies in more cities across the state.
