There is a common slogan amongst transportation planners that “all transit riders are pedestrians at some point.” We agree with that sentiment and believe cyclists make great transit customers as well. Fostering better relationships and opportunities between cyclists and mass transit riders both improves bike networks and transit ridership – a win-win scenario! In this session, we will explore the ways in which bicycle and pedestrian networks can be enhanced with mass transit connections, and how to further develop relationships between the active transportation community and transit agencies.
