The community bike shop movement has seen tremendous growth in New York in recent years. These organizations are integral to ensuring all New Yorkers have access to safe, functioning bicycles by providing free of low-cost access to used or recycled bicycles, parts, and tools. In this roundtable discussion, we’ll talk about the future of the community bike shop movement, how to keep these organizations operating effectively, and their role in ensuring New Yorkers from all walks of life have access to a working bicycle and bicycling education.
