Dan Suraci is an NYBC board member and NYC-based transportation planner specializing in bicycle mobility and transit connectivity.  Prior to his current role as Senior Consultant at TransPro, Dan lead the domestic planning practice at SYSTRA Engineering, worked in NYCDOT's bicycle program and served as Communications Manager for Bike New York.  Dan is presently leading a work group of more than 40 public transit agencies and bike advocates from all over the country to produce a series of national best practices for bicycle and transit connectivity, and was recently named Emerging Leader of the Year by the League of American Bicyclists.  Outside of work, Dan is a daily, all weather bike commuter, instructor, author, and creator of the Derailleur, a comic book aimed at empowering people of all ages to ride.
