Tim Weidemann has lived in the Hudson Valley for most of the past 20 years, attending the Storm KingSchool and SUNY New Paltz, where he received a Bachelor’s degree with University Honors in Philosophyand Religious Studies. While in New Paltz, Tim began working as a consultant to local governments and nonprofits, which led him to the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University, where he received highest distinction and acquired a Master’s in Public Policy and Management.

In 2016, Tim joined Ulster County’s Economic Development team, where he works closely with CountyExecutive Mike Hein and multiple department heads to help grow and sustain the County’s diverseeconomy. Tim’s efforts have assisted Ulster County businesses, nonprofits, and communities in acquiringmillions of dollars in grant funding and have helped make Ulster one of the fastest-growing job marketsin New York State.

Over the past 10 years, Tim has become increasingly invested in his community, serving as an activevolunteer, board member and advisor for the Kingston Land Trust, a council member for the Immanuel Lutheran Church, and and co-founder of Livingston Street Early Childhood Community, a licensednon-profit early childhood education center. Tim is an avid cyclist, a member of Bike Friendly Kingston and was recently named as one of SUNY New Paltz’s inaugural “40 Under 40.”
